Vang Vieng

4/16 Bussed over to Vang Vieng, settled in, then set out for a beer and lunch. Found an Aussie Bar with massive beers that were super cheap and ran in to friends of Allie and Elena's from Australia! What a small world! We ran into Ali and Emma a FEW times, actually. Bumped into them in Chiang Mai, Thailand as well.. Anyway, we went out with Ali that night to a few bars aaaaand that's the end of that cool story.

4/17 woke up late, 1pm, and then made out way to the river, what the place is known for. Tubing, drinking and then swinging off high piers. Allie and I went on the rope swing and dear LORD was it fun. So dangerous (if you let go too early you say hello to rocks). So fun.

4/18 Shopping day! Bought tank tops, 2 for$5 USD :) Went to "friends" bar and watched umpteen episodes. Before it got too late Allie and I rented bikes (with cool baskets) and found some awesome scenic landscapes. Absolutely stunning.

Elena didn't get any sleep this night. She was so sick, poor girl! To make it worse, it was a stormy night and the windows in the WHOLE hostel were smacking open and closed and the power turned off. We figured it out that the malaria pills Allie and Elena were taking were making them queasy and have wicked dreams. Elena stayed up with my wind up pig flashlight all night. It was terrible, but it brought a small smile to all of our faces when she wound up the flash light and it sounded like a pig. LOVE YOU LANER.

4/19 Allie and I went caving, kayaking and tubing for the whole day. SUPER FUN. Allie and I didn't turn our kayak over ONCE. We are champions. Stopped at the bars for my first Pimm's and Lemonade. Then finished up the night with a movie on the projector screen at Sakura.
